ABOUT SHETTLE FAMILY EYE CARE & EYE WEAR - DR. SCOTT SHETTLE
D. Scott Shettle O.D, graduated
from Truman State University in Missouri in 1988 with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in

Biology . He then went on to complete his degree in Optometry at
NOVA Southeastern College of Optometry located in Davie, Florida in
1994. Dr. Shettle then became National and Florida Board Certified
in Optometry . He completed a one year residency training in ocular
disease at the Shettle Eye Center in conjunction with NOVA
Southeastern College of Optometry in 1999 with emphasis on diagnosis
and treatment of ocular disease. Dr. Shettle completed extensive
clinical training in various fields of optometry which included low
vision, binocular vision, contact lens fittings and geriatrics. Dr.
Shettle does contact lens fittings and comprehensive eye
examinations, including treatment and management of corneal
abrasion/ulcers/foreign body removal, iritis, conjunctivitis, and
glaucoma. Dr. Shettle is a member of the American Optometric
Association (AOA), the Contact Lens Section of the AOA, Florida
Optometric Association (FOA), and has served as a director, as well
as, Vice President of the Pinellas Optometric Association. Dr. Scott
Shettle resides with his wife, Nicole and two children, Channing and
Logan in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
